Which contact sheet layout should I choose?

A 2 × 3 grid gives six photographs more room. A 3 × 4 grid shows twelve frames on a page. A 4 × 5 or 5 × 6 grid is useful for a quick overview when the differences are easy to see.

Choose a sparse grid when a reviewer needs to compare expression or small details. Choose a denser grid for checking sequence, coverage or missing frames. The right density depends on the photographs and the task.

How many photos fit on one sheet?

Multiply columns by rows. A 3-column, 4-row layout holds 12 photographs. A set of 29 photographs needs three pages at that setting: 12 on the first, 12 on the second and 5 on the third.

What changes between A4 and Letter?

A4 measures 210 × 297 mm. US Letter measures 8.5 × 11 inches. Letter is slightly wider and shorter in portrait orientation. Use the paper your reviewer or printer expects rather than relying on a print-dialog resize.

Can I change a preset?

Yes. A preset sets the paper, rows and columns. You can change those controls, edit the title and move or remove photographs before exporting. The maker does not crop images to fill their cells.

What should I include on a review sheet?

Keep a recognisable title, the index number and filename labels. Download the exact filename manifest alongside the PDF if names may repeat. For a reusable selection process, read the filename handoff guide.
